“REAL CASE. REAL CHALLENGE. REAL SOLUTION.”
“HOW TO INCREASE PRODUCTIVITY AND ACCOUNTABILITY IN RESTAURANT/FOOD INDUSTRY”

Challenge

Genesh has been in growth mode in recent years. While company is excited about growing and increasing the number of restaurants in the States of Kansas and Missouri, growth brings more transactions, more paperwork and overall more work on daily basis. On the other hand; old way of doing business starts to be an obstacle for the company’s path to growth.

In this view, one of the challenges is to manage and report daily sales figures to headquarters. Company uses POS registers to record
sales transactions at each restaurant with exact date, time and amount. At the same time, company uses an ERP system for accounting and finance management. There is no link between these two systems as registers at restaurants and ERP systems.

Initially company starts recording sales figures at each restaurant on Excel sheets. Afterwards staff sorts sales data on Excel and enters sales figures into ERP system one by one or in groups in a manual way. While having couple of restaurants, this task seems to be manageable. When you pass the limit of 10 restaurants, this manual task starts becoming a challenge on every single work day.

Higher management understands the importance of automating this type of repetitive tasks in order to have control, to have a better
reporting foundation and to manage/reduce labor cost. Finally Genesh meets eBA as a solution.

Solution

Genesh meets eBA: Enterprise Business Automation Platform. eBA’s powerful workflow and records management capabilities along with flexible integration options makes eBA the best choice for Genesh to automate that manual process. Besides Genesh is
a growing corporation, eBA’s enterprise level customer references proves that Genesh can rely on eBA while expanding its business operations.

As a solution, eBA gets Excel sheets, sorts data on each sheet according to the company’s priorities for reporting purposes and then sends sorted data to ERP system for bookkeeping of accounting department, cash-flow tracking of finance department and to comply with other regulatory requirements. Data transfer takes places seamlessly and automatically so that operational team can focus on what really matters in any business, which is focusing on sales and ensuring customer satisfaction at each encounter.

Genesh used to assign team members at restaurants to perform this sorting& entering task. Now Genesh has the ability to allocate its human resources in different parts of the business. Upper management receives reliable and periodic reports thanks to eBA’s automation and integration operations on daily basis.
